strump grinding is next
After a full tree removal, the stump removal or grinding is the next thing to be done. We can handle both jobs. Most stumps aren’t that attractive in landscapes or on your properties. They can take away from the natural aesthetic of your yard. More importantly, stumps can turn into a home for insects which will make the stump potentially dangerous for your children or pets.
We use the best kind of stump grinding equipment that can handle even the largest of stumps. We usually plan on providing these services when our customers schedule tree removal services, however if you’d prefer not to have this additional cost then it is not a problem.
We will plan on coming to your property to do our preliminary assessment on the stump. Prices will vary based on the size and type of stump, this is standard for stump grinding and removal. Once we perform our initial assessment we will give an initial verbal quote and then a written quote with all of our important information. We also offer services that may be helpful after stump removal which include grass seeding, sod laying, and/or mulching.
Stump removal and grinding can be messy, but we will do what we can to minimize the mess. We clean the surrounding area and lay down tarps to catch the wood chips. If you would like to save the wood chips we can save them for you. Otherwise, our standard procedure is to recycle them.
Stump removal is a bit more technical. We would need to bring a backhoe to your property to completely dig up the main root of the tree along with the stump. We usually don’t use this procedure as it can damage the surrounding property. It is usually used in situations where further foundation work needs to be done on the property. Full stump removal is typically done only for commercial development jobs. If it’s something you want on your residential property it is something we can discuss during our initial appointment.
